Escher Yr8 Art Trip: Dulwich Picture Gallery

The whole of Year 8 went to see the highly anticipated M.C. Escher exhibition at the UKs oldest public art space, The Dulwich Picture Gallery. This is the first time his work has ever been shown in England. Escher who died almost 50 years ago was a master in perspective drawing but never fully revealed his incredible techniques. The Year 8 have studied perspective and illusion in class this term and so the exhibition coincided perfectly with this project. The Year greatly enjoyed the complexity of his work. Thank you to Miss Thompson, Mrs Barisone, Miss Coreanna, Mr Blades, Mr Fordham, Mr Warriner and Mrs Barrett for coming on the trip.
