The new extension at Tate Modern by the ingenious Herzog and DeMeuron, is worth a visit only to see what it’s like to be inside a super paired-down brick, wood and concrete Brutalist beehive/car park. The best room for me is definitely the sculpture meets architecture floor. What else is quite unusual is the way the bricks on the outside of the building have been stacked: there is no mortar evident but rubber discs to support each brick.
